the sad tale of the boots
Remember those cute boots I bought? This is how the tale ends.
I have a really really hard time making decisions. I've wanted a pair of boots for a long time and have even tried quite few pairs only to not be happy with them. I'm not normally a picky details person, but apparently boots is the exception. I'm also a cheapskate. I also have expensive tastes (must be leather).
So I settled on this style and found them on ebay. There was one pair for sale in size 8.5/9. The seller said she normally wears 8.5 and has to wear really thick socks with them. I am a pretty solid 9, so I was hoping to pull it off, especially since she had a best offer option.
I low-balled her thanks to my new-found courage from my 2nd favorite TV show: Market Warriors. I expected a counter, but she accepted. Deal!
They were here in no time. I slipped my foot into my new gorgeous boot only to stop short. This was really small. Sadly small. I checked the size, 8. 8? Yes, one boot was an 8, one was 8.5 (which fit perfectly). What?! 2 different sizes? The seller was great, gave me a prompt refund, but there are no more boots for sale.
I know this is totally a first world problem, and boot season is wrapping up here anyway but I finally found some I really liked!!! Sad sad day.
